CJN

    Bring Back
    The
    4th Power

Independent journalism funded by the public.

    A message from João Neves

    THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN

    Journalism Lost Its
    Independence.

Today, too much journalism depends on political interests, corporate incentives and editorial agendas.

The stories that matter most are often the hardest to investigate and publish.

    "When journalism depends on
    institutions, power stops being
    questioned."

Truth becomes filtered. Narratives become controlled. And public trust disappears.

    CJN exists to change that.

A New Infrastructure For Independent Journalism

CJN combines investigative journalism, direct publishing and community funding into a new model where truth no longer depends on institutional approval.

    Investigate

Independent investigative journalism focused on exposing corruption, institutional abuse and hidden influence.

    Publish Without Gatekeepers

Direct distribution to the public without editorial gatekeepers, political filtering or corporate control.

    Community Funded

A community-funded ecosystem where journalists and investigators are supported directly by the people.

    The Open Letter

The Citizen Journalism Network was created from a simple belief: journalism should serve the public, not institutional interests.

Too much of modern journalism depends on political influence, corporate incentives and editorial control. The stories that matter most are often the hardest to investigate and publish independently.

CJN exists to create a different model, one where journalists, investigators and citizens can publish freely and be supported directly by the public.

Our goal is not to replace journalism. It is to restore its independence.

If journalism is meant to hold power accountable, then it must itself be free from dependency on power.

That is the principle behind CJN."
